The Queen has visited the King as he remains in hospital for a second day after undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate.

Camilla arrived at the London Clinic in central London in a black Audi car at noon on Saturday.

She was seen leaving a black Audi in a white blouse and black jumper, and departed the hospital about three hours later.

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, is also currently receiving care at the clinic, where she underwent abdominal surgery for an undisclosed ailment.

The procedure is said to have been serious, with the Princess already having spent 12 days at the hospital, though she is understood to be recovering well.

Camilla’s visit to Charles marks her second trip to the London Clinic after escorting the King there on Friday morning, with his surgery being performed later that day.

She told people inside the London Clinic on Friday that the King was ‘doing well’ after the op.

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: ‘His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.’

Rishi Sunak has also wished Charles the ‘very best’ and a ‘speedy recovery’, according to Downing Street.

It is anticipated the King will remain in care over the remainder of the weekend.

His surgery was prompted after a check-up on January 17 revealed he was experiencing symptoms of an enlarged prostate.

The Palace states the King sought to share the news of his diagnosis to encourage men of his age to follow suit in getting themselves checked.

The NHS webpage providing information on the condition is reported to have received one visit each five seconds on the day after news of Charles’ procedure was announced.

It also came the same day that Kate’s admission to hospital was made public.
