A man aged in his early 20s has died after being shot in north Dublin on Saturday night.
Gardaà and emergency services personnel were alerted shortly before 7pm and attended the scene outside a home on Barry Drive in Finglas.
The victim was shot several times in the head and body at his family home.
His mother was in the house at the time, RTE reports.
The man was treated by emergency personnel before being taken to Connolly Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The gardaà believe the fatal shooting is drug-related, as the man had links to a local family-based drug gang in Finglas.

The scene has been preserved for forensic and technical examination and the coroner has been notified.
This is the first alleged gangland murder this year.
