You can book a horse and carriage Uber in London during the coronation

People across the UK will be getting into the coronation spirit in the next couple of weeks, from baking a Coronation Quiche to hanging Union Flag bunting around the house.

But a new offering from Uber allows you to experience a little bit of the pomp and pageantry associated with the huge royal event for yourself.

The ‘Coronation Carriage’ will be in operation in Dulwich Park, London, and allows you to take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

The carriage was designed taking inspiration from previous royal carriages, and each of the four white horses drawing it will be dressed up in their finest coronation wear.

Inside the carriage passengers will be seated on plush seats, with embroidered cushions and throws.

Andrew Brem, general manager at Uber UK, said: ‘What better way to celebrate one of the most significant events of 2023 by riding like King Charles III in a horse drawn carriage.

‘We’re always looking for new ways to add a little Uber magic to peoples journeys, so we are over the moon to be able to bring the Coronation Carriage to Uber.’

The carriage will be available between May 3-5 and slots can be booked using the Uber app.
