The bank holiday weekend continues today, with Easter Monday bringing the four-day break to a close.
Various high street shops are closed or operating with reduced hours, including DIY stores like B&Q, and supermarkets like Lidl and Waitrose.
But if you’re looking to make financial changes today, are banks open?
Read on to find out whether your branch is operating.
Are banks open on Easter Monday?
Almost all banks are closed across the UK on Easter Monday.
Branches of the below will not open today:
- HSBC
- Barclays
- TSB
- Royal Bank of Scotland
- Lloyd’s
- Halifax
- Nationwide
- NatWest
- Santander
The only bank that does not have reduced hours is Metro Bank – all its branches are open on Easter Monday from 10am until 4pm.
If you need to contact your bank while its closed, many have online chat services that allow you to speak with an advisor.
Most branches will also have emergency fraud lines open, so if you have an immediate issue with your card, it should still be possible to cancel it.
