A cyclist in his 60s has died after being hit by a car, with a driver arrested.
Two cyclists were involved in the collision in Fairstead, Essex on Sunday morning.
One was pronounced dead at the scene on Fairstead Road around 10.30am. The second sustained injuries to his face.
A man, 65, from South Woodham Ferrers, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He remains in custody.
The road was closed but has now been reopened.
