Moment ‘Karen attacks elderly man eating without mask on Delta flight – while not masking up herself’

A woman on a Delta Air Lines flight was recorded attacking an elderly man who was not wearing a mask as he was eating – all the while not wearing a mask herself.

Patricia Cornwall was arrested by the FBI after the incident on Thursday, according to Atlanta police. The 80-year-old man and others dubbed her ‘Karen’, the derogatory nickname to given to a woman who is usually white and acts entitled.

Video footage from the plane traveling from Tampa to Atlanta showed a woman standing over an elderly man who had removed his face mask while eating and drinking at his seat.

In a clip tweeted by ATL Uncensored, the woman is shown cursing at an elderly man.

‘Put your f****** mask on!’ she yells, with her own mask below her chin.

‘Sit down, Karen!’ he shouts in return.

‘Mask up!’ the woman yells.

The man shouts back: ‘You mask up, b****!’

Then, the woman is seen slapping him and saying,’ You’re going to jail!’

Crew members could then be seen holding the woman back and leading her down the aisle as she hollered, ‘You f****** piece of s***!’

In the clip, someone says that the woman ‘went crazy on the airplane, punched this man in the face, spit on him, scratched him (and) poured hot water on my leg’.

The flight landed at 6.10pm at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where police waited for Delta employees.

‘Based on the statements gathered and visible evidence, officers detained Ms Cornwall and contacted the on-call FBI agent,’ police stated.

‘The officers then relocated with Ms Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct where FBI agents responded and took custody of Ms Cornwall.’

It was not immediately known what charges Cornwall faced.

Delta Air Lines confirmed to the New York Post that law enforcement officials responded to ‘an unruly customer disturbance’.

‘Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft,’ the airline stated.
