Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed in a ‘targeted incident.’
The victim, who was in his twenties, was knifed at a house in the Reading suburb of Tilehurst on Sunday night.
Police were called at 10.40pm to reports of a stabbing and they found the man, who died at the scene.
Three teenagers, aged 18, 19 and 19, all from Reading, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
TVP’s Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard said he and his colleagues’ thoughts were with the family and friends of the deceased man.
‘We are currently in the early stages of this investigation and three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder’, he said.
‘At this time we believe that this was a targeted incident and that there is no risk to the wider public.
‘A scene watch is in place in Romany Lane and local residents will see an increased police presence whilst we continue with the investigation.’
