Schools are set to reopen in the coming weeks despite experts saying it is ‘highly likely’ that Covid-19 cases will surge once they do.

Scotland has already seen a significant rise in cases, particularly among 16 and 19-year olds.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said it is partly a reflection of the increased interactions that come with children attending school again.

However, there are some measures in place to help prevent a rise in coronavirus cases across other UK countries.

If you’re wondering when schools are reopening for the autumn term around the UK, we’ve got everything you need to know.
