More than 170 of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile associates and victims will reportedly be revealed at the start of 2024.
A judge on Monday ordered court documents with the names of 177 Does including Epstein’s recruiters and friends to be unsealed within 14 days, which would be New Year’s Day. Since it is a holiday, the names could be released the next day, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday.
Among the Does are apparently a Prince Andrew accuser who claims he fondled her chest in Epstein’s New York mansion, as well as documents on his alleged recruiter and victim Haley Robson and French model Jean-Luc Brunel who was accused of abusing young women.
Does three and four appear to be South African couple Miles and Cathy Alexander, who managed Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St James, according to the Daily Mail. The Does also include housekeepers who worked on the island.
Judge Loretta Preska said the names should be released in part because some of the Does have been identified through links to media interviews in another ruling.
The slated court documents unsealing stems from Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Roberts’ 2016 defamation case against Epstein’s then-madam Ghislaine Maxwell. The Miami Herald at the time sued for the files to be released.
Preska wrote ‘unsealed in full’ by the names of the Does and gave them 14 days to object to the files going public.
A first batch of the documents were unveiled days before Epstein hung himself in prison in August 2019 as he awaited his sex trafficking trial. More files have been released since then.
The 177 Does are in the last batch and many of them were notified of the pending release and have not objected.
Depositions, emails and other documents previously under wraps are also expected to be unleashed along with the names of Epstein’s associates.
