An urgent search has been launched for a nine-year-old girl who went missing this afternoon while walking her puppy in south Wales.
South Wales Police has released a picture and description of the child, who is referred to only by her first name Brooke.
She was last seen at around 3.30pm on Union Place in Tylorstown, a village in the Rhondda Valley north-west of Cardiff.
A statement from the police said she is around four feet tall, with brown, curly, shoulder-length hair.
When last seen, she was walking a merle-coloured pocket bully pup.
Brooke was wearing a dark green coat with fur around the hood, and bright pink and white spotted trousers.
