A man allegedly offered two young boys a ‘large amount of cash’ in return for them kicking him in the groin.

Police are hunting the unknown suspect after he made the bewildering request to the children, both aged under 10, in Warrington, Cheshire last month.

He is reported to have approached the two young lads at around midday on July 24 before giving them a significant sum of money.

The same man then did the same thing four days later on July 28 – but this time requested that the boys kick him in the groin in exchange for payment.

Officers say the suspect is described as white, approximately 60 years old, with grey, short, straight hair, and is clean shaven.

He was last seen wearing a brown jacket and jeans. His vehicle has been described as a large black vehicle.

The force said it was called to reports of a man acting suspiciously and offering cash to children in the Vulcan Close area.

Detectives investigating have now released two CCTV images of a man they’d like to speak to in relation to the incident.

Detective constable Danielle Taylor said: ‘Enquiries in relation to this incident have been ongoing and as part of our investigation we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as he may hold vital information.

‘I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to contact us.. The same goes for the man himself.’

DC Taylor said in a previous appeal for information: ‘The behaviour of this male is concerning.’
