Ghislaine Maxwell had her cellmate removed because they kept having ‘loud’ sex in the bunk above her, a prison source has claimed.
The disgraced socialite, who is serving 20 years for grooming Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, had issues with the prisoner, nicknamed Batman, who shared a four-bed ‘cube’ with her.
Batman, who is a transgender man, started sneaking their prison girlfriend into their bed after the regular 9pm headcount at the low-security jail in Tallahassee, Florida.
An insider quoted by the Daily Mail said: ‘Max would hear every grunt and moan as she was trying to sleep just a few feet below.
‘The beds aren’t bolted down and they can rock from side to side and make a lot of noise.’
The ‘bunkies’ had apparently been butting heads because Maxwell was fed up with Batman hanging their boxers and socks over the metal frame of the bed to dry.
The nightly sex was the alleged ‘last straw’ for Maxwell and she complained, leading to Batman being moved to a different cell.
But Batman’s replacement reportedly did not get on with 61-year-old Maxwell either.
It’s believed the new ‘bunkie’ complained about Maxwell stinking out the 5ft by 8ft shared space because she does not shower after her jogs.
The source said: ‘Maxwell would come straight off the running track and not wash. It’s something you often see with sex offenders, they are worried about being attacked in the shower.’
The pair had an argument, Maxwell complained and the woman was removed, the Mail reported.
‘Max seems to think she will eventually get a cube all to herself if she keeps stirring up trouble,’ the insider added.
Maxwell was dubbed a ‘prison Karen’ after she filed more than 400 complaints, according to reports last month.
These apparently included objections to the lack of vegan menu options, wanting black hair dye and being treated ‘unfairly’.
Maxwell, who was sentenced last June, is set for release in July 2037, by which time she will be 75.
But she could get out earlier if any of her appeals are successful.
