With the cost of living crisis still very much in full swing, many of us are tracking every single penny we spend.
Being aware of how much different household appliances cost to run is an important part of tracking spending, especially with energy bills currently at such a high rate.
So which appliances cost the most to run?

Which appliances are most expensive to run?
Currently, the typical household spends around £2,500 a year on their energy bills.
However, this figure will change from July 1, when the energy price cap drops to £2,074.
Using the current £2,500 figure, boiler company Boxt calculated that the fridge contributes most to household electricity bills as it the only household appliance that is kept running all of the time.
Boxt calculated that a fridge costs an average of £138.72 per year to use.
Next on the list is the electric tumble dryer, which although it is not used a lot, uses the most energy per use out of all appliances, at 85p a go.
Boxt calculated that the average household uses a tumble dryer 43 times a year, meaning the appliance costs £125.80 per year to run.
The electric hob is the third most expensive on the list, costing 24p per use.
Hobs are used a lot (Boxt estimates 424 times a year) meaning their annual running cost is £102.35.
