The former US president has claimed he could end the war in Ukraine in one day if he was still in the top job.
Donald Trump appeared for an exclusive interview with GB News on Wednesday evening where he made the bold claim to Nigel Farage.
The interview took place at the Trump Turnberry golf course in Scotland, where he also said he hoped new first minister Humza Yousaf would ‘do a better job’ than Nicola Sturgeon.
Trump also criticised Joe Biden for not attending King Charles’ coronation, and expressed surprise that Prince Harry had been invited.
He said: ‘King Charles loves the country and he loved his mother, and that’s why I thought she was treated so disrespectfully by Meghan Markle. I was surprised Harry was invited to be honest.
‘I think it was very nice to be invited but he said some terrible things, when you see what he said, and the book was horrible.’
But when asked about how he would help the war in Ukraine if he was still president, Trump said: ‘If it weren’t for the incompetence of this administration Putin would have never gone in.
‘If I were president I would end this war in 24 hours, I would get it ended, 100%.
‘It would be easy. A lot of it has to do with the money, the military, I would get that done in 24 hours.
‘It has to be stopped, it’s a disaster, more than money, the loss of human life is far greater than anyone thinks.
‘You don’t knock down a whole city and say two people got hurt, they’re in these big apartments, they’re massive buildings, and when you see them collapsing thousands of people are being killed and nobody’s talking about it.’
Trump also said he believes he has a ‘very good chance’ of being reelected as president in 2024.
He said: ‘The economy’s not great and I will make it right.
‘This world is blowing up around us, we may even lose the dollar as the standard around the world and that’s like losing a war.
‘We have a very good chance, people feel it in their pocketbooks, people are saying “Trump is going to turn the economy around” and I will be able to do that again quickly and easily.
‘We are going to get rid of crime because our Democrat run cities are crime infested rat holes.’
