A woman has been found dead at a luxury block of flats in south London after police were called to reports of a ‘disturbance’.
Officers rushed to the apartment in Elephant & Castle on Thursday afternoon and found the victim with serious injuries.
She was declared dead there a short while later.
Photos taken at the scene show police forensic vans lining the street outside the flats.
In a statement, Scotland Yard said: ‘Police were called to a block of flats on Elephant Road, SE17, following reports of a disturbance at the location.
‘A woman – no further details – was found with serious injuries.
‘Despite the efforts of emergency services she was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘A large number of officers remain at the location as enquiries continue. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.’
