Easter Monday is a treat for many – a bank holiday with time off work to spend how you please.

Whether that’s enjoying the warmer weather in the garden, lazing around with Netflix and some chocolate or meeting up with friends.

But if you want to go and do some retail therapy – or you’ve just run out of the essentials and need to pop out – are shops open on the Easter Monday bank holiday?

What shops are open today?

Are the shops open on Easter Monday?

Many supermarkets and shops will be open today because, unlike Easter Sunday where trading laws dictate stores over a certain size close for the day, no such laws pertain to this bank holiday.

However, stores might be operating under different opening hours to give employees an earlier finish or later start.
