A storm hurled baseball-sized hail on parts of Florida and Texas, where a cow was recorded running for shelter beyond a homeowner’s pool.

A supercell thunderstorm hovered over Dublin, Texas, on Wednesday, dropping massive hailstones. Resident Gary Clayton recorded the large balls splashing all over his pool and bouncing around his backyard, according to Fox Weather.

Moments later, a brown-and-white cow is seen running along the outside of the fence of his backyard, clearly seeking shelter. The video panned to follow the cow until it disappeared amid the low-visibility surroundings. The cow was able to find shelter and was not hurt, Fox Weather reported.

The hailstones that pelted Dublin were 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter, which are about the size of tennis balls and baseballs, some storm spotters said. Hail thta size can drop at 44 to 72 mph.

It was just one of dozens of storms reported in Texas and the Gulf Coast.

‘Several training supercells are moving through Central Texas this evening with giant hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and flash flooding as all possible hazards,’ tweeted National Weather Service Forth Worth. ‘Continue to be vigilant and weather aware, especially in the path of these storms.’

Another powerful hailstorm struck Palm Bay, Florida.

The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a warning for storms bringing frequent lightning and strong wings.
