A man who got a tattoo of ‘Messi’ inked across his forehead in homage of the susperstar’s World Cup triumph says he regets it already.
Social media influencer, Maicol Quinonez, from Colombia, surprised his followers when he decided to get the tattoo after Argentina’s epic win over France.
The Messi superfan also got the word ‘D10S’ – the Spanish word for ‘God’ with the famous number 10 – and three stars for each of Argentina’s World Cup wins on each cheek.
Since the inking, Maicol has been mocked by his followers for getting the tattoo and it has led him to regret the decision.
He announced: ‘I am sorry I got the tattoo, because instead of bringing me positive things, it got me thousands of negative things, both personally and in the family.
‘I didn’t think I would say this so soon. I was very proud [of it] the first few days, but I regret it.
‘They just say that I am not a positive example for society.’
The influencer then added: ‘Be careful with your words. You don’t know the damage you can do to someone because of social media. You don’t know how you can destroy your life.’
His followers claim Maicol only got the tattoo so he could increase his follower count.
User named ‘sebastianm’ said: ‘That is obviously not real, above all it will heal that way, invent something better.”
While another one, named ‘jeanfranco.88’ laughed: ‘Hahahahaha, well now go and wash your face uahaha.’
And then user ‘Javi Armand Orjuela’ added: ‘Fake, a whole show!’
