A fourth person has been charged with murdering a DJ and radio station owner found dead near an industrial estate in Essex.

Koray Alpergin, 43, owned radio station Bizim FM, which broadcast in Turkish from the UK.

He was found dead on October 15 after being reported missing from Enfield the day before, along with Gozde Dalbudak, 33, believed to be his girlfriend visiting from Istanbul.

Today, officers said Junior Kettle, 31, has been charged with murder.

He joins Erdogan Ulcay, 55; Ali Kavak, 25; and a 17-year-old boy who have already been charged with the murder.

Police were told at 1.50pm on October 14 that the couple had not been seen since the previous night.

Ms Dalbudak was found physically unharmed, but Mr Alpergin was found dead with signs of severe trauma near to Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton.

Prosecutor Nicholas Hearn previously told the Old Bailey: ‘They were attacked by individuals wearing white masks and bundled into a van and taken to a location and held there against their will.

‘Mr Alpergin was badly beaten and murdered. Two days later, Mr Alpergin’s body was found by members of the public.

‘The body was naked and had sustained burns, bruises and cuts. A preliminary report concluded strangulation, blunt forced trauma and damage to the internal organs and ribs.’

The four suspects charged with murder have also been charged with the kidnap of a woman. Kettle alone has been charged with a second count of kidnap.

The Met said a post-mortem examination carried out on Monday found Mr Alpergin died from severe trauma, while further forensic tests are taking place.

Kettle of Islington; Ulcay, of Camden; Kavak, of Tottenham, and the teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at the Old Bailey on January 6 of next year.

A fourth man, 55, was bailed pending further inquiries until mid-November.
