A jury has reached a verdict on how much money conspiracy theorist Alex Jones must pay the families of victims of the Sandy Hook mass shooting.

The jury’s decision was not read out immediately in a Connecticut court on Wednesday afternoon, as Judge Barbara Bellis sent jurors back to complete a verdict form.

Jones must pay families for claiming that the victims were acting and faked the deadly massacre.

Prosecutors had asked Infowars founder Jones to pay $550million to parents who claimed that his far-right website spread lies about the massacre that left 26 people including 20 students dead.
