
An investigation has been launched after a baby girl suddenly died at a flat in Glasgow.
Emergency services rushed to a home on Balmartin Road in Summerston on Saturday morning.
But medics couldn’t save the six-month-old, who died at the scene shortly after 9am.
Pictures posted by locals on social media showed a number of ambulances and police vehicles in the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘Officers were called following the sudden death of a 6-month-old baby girl in the Balmartin Road area of Summerston, Glasgow around 9am on Saturday, 3 September, 2022.
‘Enquiries are ongoing.’
