More than 20 people have lost their lives in the water during the UK’s extreme summer.

Earlier this week, a teenager drowned in a lake in Hertfordshire.

The 14-year-old got into difficulty in water in Cheshunt and a search was launched but a body was found hours later.

Another schoolboy, Brian Sasu, also 14, was among those to lose his life in the water during the July heatwave.

The teenager was cooling off in the River Thames in Richmond, west London, when he got into trouble, his family said.
