A girl, 15, and a woman, 40, have been stabbed in Sheffield – with an attempted murder arrest made.
Emergency services rushed to reports of an ongoing incident between three people just after midnight.
They discovered the teenager with stab wounds and a head injury at Harborough Way, Manor.
She was taken to hospital alongside the woman, who suffered multiple stab sounds and a head injury.
Both remain in hospital, although their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A man, 29, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.
Officers are appealing for information and are particularly keen to speak to someone driving a dark-coloured car along Harborough Way at the time of the incident.
Detective inspector Chris Ronayne, who is leading the investigation said: ‘A scene remains in place as we continue to piece together the circumstances of this incident.
‘We do believe this incident to be isolated and we have officers on patrol in the area, who are on hand should you have any concerns you want to raise.’
