A grand jury investigating ex-President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia has subpoenaed seven of his allies including his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
Besides Giuliani, the list of those called to testify in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s criminal probe includes Senator Lindsey Graham, who called Georgia’s secretary of state at least twice requesting a re-examination of absentee ballots ‘to explore the possibility of a more favorable outcome for former President Donald Trump,’ court documents state.
John Eastman, who came up with a plan to assemble alternate slates of electors to reverse the election, has also been subpoenaed.
Other former Trump legal advisers including Jenna Ellis, Cleta Mitchell and Kenneth Chesebro were also subpoenaed, according to court filings on Tuesday.
