Police are on the hunt for men who made off from a Cotswolds supermarket with a car full of… mayonnaise.

The two men stole countless jars of the popular egg-based condiment from a Co-op in Gloucestershire on March 17.

News soon spread of their dastardly deeds and store staff contacted the police.

One man left with a basket full of mayonnnaise bottles, thought to be Hellmann’s, while another bundled jars into a trolley.

The pair then stashed their precious condiment cargo in the boot of a black Ford Focus, with the registration YE58 FKJ.

They were captured on CCTV driving away from the scene.

Police officers have shared images of the two thieves in a bid to get to the bottom of the crime.
