Sports fans made their disgust with the prime minister crystal clear after he was accused of flouting Covid restrictions.

Boris Johnson was pictured with up to 17 staff members enjoying wine and cheese in the No.10 garden in May 2020 – when Brits were only allowed to meet one person outside their household at a distance of two metres outdoors.

The Government has insisted it was a work meeting – but many people do not seem to be buying it.

Many have questioned why ministers were having a meeting with wine and cheese, without any laptops or notes.

The backlash soared to new heights as fans watching the 2022 PDC World Darts Championship sang ‘stand up if you hate Boris’ on Monday evening.

Some attendees stayed in their seats at Alexandra Place in London – but it looks as if the majority choose to stand up and belt out the words.

At one point, a man was pictured joking ‘all round to Boris’s after’.

Football fans were also filmed singing ‘Boris Johnson is a c**t’ at what is believed to have been the Leeds vs Arsenal game last Saturday.

It comes after claims the Government had up to eight Christmas parties when millions were following harsh restrictions last year.

The Cabinet Office is currently investigating an alleged Downing Street Christmas party, said to have happened on December 18 last year.

Mr Johnson and other ministers have repeatedly said rules were not broken, despite leaked footage showing the PM’s then-press secretary joking about a ‘fictional bash’.

Two other alleged events are also being investigated, including a leaving drinks party which was apparently held for a Downing Street advisor on November 27 and a Department of Education party on December 10.

People at the leaving drinks were said to be treated to a ‘drop-in’ by Mr Johnson.

Just before the ‘garden party’ photograph came out, the Ministry of Defence was accused of hosting a party with ‘pizza and alcohol’ for military personnel who helped with the country’s vaccination programme.

The MoD previously confirmed to Metro.co.uk that it is probing these claims.

Five other events have also been alleged but none are facing official investigations.
