Doorbell footage has been seized after three people were arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a ‘happy’ little boy, 5, it has been reported.
Logan Williamson’s body was found in the Ogmore River in Bridgend, South Wales after he was reported missing just before 6am on Saturday.
The child died on the last day of a two-week isolation with mum Angharad Williamson and stepdad Jay Cole as the family recovered from Covid, it’s claimed.
A friend told The Sun Ms Williamson ‘collapsed’ at the hospital when medics said they couldn’t save her little boy.
Rhiannon Hales, 26, said: ‘My little girl is also five and she loved Logan, they were like little boyfriend and girlfriend together.
‘I’m shocked and just devastated by what’s happened. He called me Auntie Rhi, but Logan was like my own little boy.
‘He was such a happy kid, always said please and thank you. He loved colouring and did all the coronavirus posters in the front window of their flat.’
Forensic officers were pictured on the scene on Monday as they scoured the area for clues and took doorbell footage.
A man, 39, a woman, 30, and a boy, 13, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody. Police say they are not looking for anyone else.
Social services have been called in due to the age of the youngest suspect who is three years within the age of criminal responsibility, the Daily Mail reports.
Tributes have flooded in for Logan, who has been described as ‘the kindest boy you could ever wish to meet’.
Paying tribute to the ‘cheeky chap’, one woman said: ‘He was the kindest boy you could ever wish to meet. He had a lovely mischievous smile and was a cheeky chap.
‘He would often be outside with his mum and their little baby and always looked so happy.’
Logan’s grandparents Eric and Debbie have both changed their Facebook profile pictures to images of him.
Eric posted saying: ‘Logan you changed my world, now you are with my mum, gran gran, nana j, and Grandpa Jack. Please let them guide you.’
Another family friend said his death has left them ‘feeling sick’.
