A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead by police in Dorset.

Mr Reeve, 35, was discovered at his home in Christchurch on Tuesday evening with serious injuries on his body.

Police attended the address after receiving a report raising concern for the occupant’s welfare.

A teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has since been arrested and is currently assisting detectives with their inquiries.

Detective Inspector Simon Hunter said: ‘I am appealing to anyone who knew Edward to please come forward as they may have important information to assist our investigation.

‘Our appeal also still stands for residents and motorists in the area of Heath Road to please check any CCTV systems or dashcam footage from Saturday 1 January to Tuesday 4 January 2022 and to report any suspicious activity they may have witnessed during this time period.’

He added that officers are continuing to carry out inquiries and support Mr Reeve’s family amid the ongoing investigation.
